What is 2FA?

By Published On: 08/02/2023

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a specific type of multi-factor authentication (MFA) that strengthens your access security by requiring two methods (factors) to verify your identity. These factors can include something you know — like a username and password — plus something you have — like a smartphone app — to approve authentication requests.

2FA protects against cyber issues such as phishing and secures your logins from attackers exploiting weak or stolen credentials.

If you have the option to put in place Two-factor authentication (2FA) it is highly recommended that you implement this. It is becoming more common place for access to many services that Two-factor authentication (2FA) is being instigated.
